Transforming Lives Through the Power of Work

Think you KNOW Goodwill?

You’ve probably heard of us. After all, we’ve been around for over a century. But do you know what we REALLY do? Our first priority is helping people in need find JOBS. As one of the world’s leading non-profit brands, we partner with companies, educators, community organizations and government agencies to help us match qualified talent with employers looking to hire.

Our social enterprise prepares and places those with the greatest barriers to employment including veterans, homeless, individuals with disabilities, at-risk youth, the formerly incarcerated, and many more. Below are just a few of the services we offer to job seekers:

Our experienced counselors meet with job seekers one-to-one to assess their skill sets and guide them towards jobs and careers that meet their needs as well as the needs of the many local employers we partner with.

Goodwill offers a variety of training opportunities such as computer skills, janitorial, customer service, transportation and retail, in addition to helping job seekers find apprenticeships and other on-the-job work experience in a variety of industries.

We partner with a wide variety of employers throughout Southern California. Last year alone, we placed over 4000 people in jobs. The average increase in wages for people put to work by GSC was $13.57.

95%

of our total expenses are spent on the programs and services we offer.

In addition to the groups above, Goodwill Southern California also works with unemployed and underemployed individuals, immigrant communities, and individuals with limited English proficiency. 2018 statistics.
